چکیده

This research investigated the antibiotic resistant bacteria isolated from Agulu Lake in Anambra state of Nigeria. Water experiment was carried out on four (4) water samples aseptically collected different points Lake. The were analyzed for physicochemical features, Most Probable Number (MPN), Gram stain, microscopy, motility, biochemical traits and susceptibility tests using standard microbiological instrumentation. results through inferential statistics. bacterial isolates characterized based their motility properties. degree against conventional antibiotics determined antibiotics’ impregnated discs assay. characteristics revealed following average results: acidic pH 6.0, temperature 34 0C turbid. highest MPN value recorded by sample site D while lowest found at B stream. characterization inferred presence Pseudomonas species Escherichia coli samples. study confirmed that Nigeria contains are to most antibiotics. So, there is a call massive information dissemination all caution towards health promotion.
